Mannerism Stakes A Roughie For 2011

February 25th, 2011

Betting on the 2011 Mannerism Stakes is well under way with a steady amount of money rolling in.

The Group 3 1400m event will jump as the final race on the card at Caulfield on Blue Diamond Stakes Day.

Leading the field early at Luxbet is #1 Culminate at $3.20 which will jump from barrier five.

The seven-year-old New Zealand mare is a veteran of 40 starts with 12 wins and an impressive record of two wins and two places from five first up runs.

Red Flair is next closest at $6 but will have to deal with a wide barrier and improve on her last two starts quite considerably.

Counterpane has taken a bit of support at $7.50 and after placing in her last two races is in decent shape.

Perfect Hostess and So Anyway are then split on the $9 mark with our pick going to Perfect Hostess based on their recent runs.

None of these are where our money will be this weekend though with our tip going for number nine Simply Put at $10. Yes she will need to do it all from the widest gate but her recent runs have been outstanding.

She’ll get the prize from Culminate in second place and another unmentioned roughie Well Rounded to storm home for third.

The mare beat the likes of Purple last start at Flemington so has to be better than her current $17 odds.

If you like the sound of the current fixed prices at Luxbet join today because it’s likely a fair few will drop drastically as we near race time.
