Odds For The 2010 Mannerism Stakes

February 19th, 2010

Rounding off the racing at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday will be the 2010 Mannerism Stakes, and it seems Tootsie is the mare to watch.

The Michael Moroney-trained five-year-old is going into the Group 3 race at $3.80, and starting from the fourth barrier will certainly help her cause.

Close behind Tootsie is Clothing at $4.20 and running from the inside barrier, the mare could close the gap, and provide a substantial win for punters in the 2010 Mannerism Stakes.

Flying Ruby and Bird Of Fire are also starters to watch at $7 and $7.50 respectively.

Flying Ruby finished third in the Swettenham Stud Bow Mistress Stakes in Hobart earlier this year, and while it was 200 metres shorter than the 2010 Mannerism Stakes (1400m), the five-year-old is a strong contender.

If punters are looking for an upset to gain a lucrative win, it seems Meteor Mistress would be the horse to wager on, rounding out the odds at $101.

Other races bettors can look to for Saturday, are the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) and the Group 2 St George Stakes (1800m).
